"OK No." -Michelle

Okay, this needs to be settled because right now it's me and Michelle vs. Jesse.

Who thinks that Dan Miller should replace Andy Duncan?*

Things to consider:
*Is it a promotion or a demotion?
*Average cuteness/hotness of both bands
*General surliness of Andy
*Toothpick vs. knit hat
*Fingertips vs. C-C-C-Cinnamon Lips

*If you know who both ( Read more... )

Dan Miller should stay put. Of all the non-Johns in TMBG, he's clearly the one who enjoys it the most. TMBG are in a good place right now in terms of independence, both financial and artistic. OK Go is still going to be dicked around by their label for another few years, and then probably get dropped. In the meantime, they'll probably have to subject themselves to touring with Jimmy Eat World or Starsailor or something. DM wouldn't get to do anything new in OK Go and he would severely weaken the TMBG Dan Alliance. Plus he'd have to learn all these dance moves. Plus it would give you guys more excuses to prefer OK Go on purely superficial grounds. Plus it would lower the chances of a Lincoln reunuion.

In conclusion, Chris Temple should replace Andy.

I'm just saying I'd like to see DM get out of the "backing band" ghetto. Even within that ghetto, he was part of the "Band of Dans" and not really owning the spotlight. TMBG is the John/John show, and even if he is on the albums, I think he could do more in OK Go. Like dance. And OK Go probably needs him more, musically :/.

Plus, he's cute enough to be in OK Go :P. And that's a hard club to break into.
