Medicore People...

So, Jesse's out now and gone this whole weekend. I'm living the bachelor life. (I'd say "bachelorette," but I don't think that conveys how I'm actually going to be living: on frozen dinners and like a general slob.) It's going to be weird because when he's gone it's a reminder that I've never lived alone. There's always been someone around to make noise. See, it's not that I'm going to be lonely-I'm actually really busy this weekend and I don't think I'm really going to get a chance to be alone during waking hours-but it's going to be quiet. Then again, no one will be around to yell at me if I have all of the TVs on at the same time for some background chatter.

I guess it would be a good weekend to scratch some things off the to-do list, but I'm pretty caught up on everything I *want* to do. (And the rest, well, I don't want to do them.) It's unfortunate that I had a lot of outside-work writing assignments due when Jesse was around and work was busy. At least that stuff should be trickling up online soon. I think my review of Kings will be up on PopMatters tomorrow. I should also have a review of the OK Go show up at Beyond Race any minute. They're a little backlogged because they just redesigned their website. They asked me to write a bio for it today. Writing funny bios is so hard. I think saying, "Be funny!" is akin to saying, "Walk naturally!" It's impossible to do it once it's been demanded of you. Still, I'm glad their site looks so much cooler, and that sometime my thoughts about OK Go will be up on it.

Speaking of which, just in case you thought I was exaggerating the awesomeness:
