Good things, in chronological order:
1) As many other people mentioned, I saw Rilo Kiley. I haven't thought about them in a while because Under the Blacklight came out almost a year ago, but they still put on a good, tight show. And
I might be less pseudo-poetic than
the Vulture, but I'm right about Blake.
2) I went to a film event last night, and Werner Herzog totally put his arm around me for a photo. I hope some of his smarts rubbed off on me. Between this and
Michel Gondry, I'm making my way through all of the visionary directors of Europe.
3) I won an award for my work blog. More on how this is not a big deal-but makes me happy for reasons you might not expect-in a different post. But for now, I can say I'm an award-winning blogger and it won't be a lie.
This should tide me over for a little.
