tyler's mom says this:
"It must be so tough to feel like you need to make
important life decisions at a time when you're really not ready -- and
honestly, shouldn't be ready! Unfortunately, our society does that to
its young people!" since he told her i was having trouble. and i guess it applies to you, too... heh.
hmm. 'tis hard. i don't know! but, (even though this really hasn't helped me in making the decisions i need to make now, and might not be able to help you either) it's still good to keep in mind that whatever direction we choose to go in right now doesn't determine what we do for the rest of our lives. you could get a PhD in nutrition and work in a lab for a while, then decide you don't want to do that anymore and open a bakery! or rework school lunch programs on the side, as volunteer work... or take off a few years and do that. orrrr start with grassroots work like that, then look for research work! or... there are many possibilities.
to me, listing all the possibilities just makes it seem more complicated and harder, sometimes. but, still, they are there. and in a way that's comforting.
i love you! mm. we should talk more about this.
