camping and family
Sunday morning me, Jordan, and Evan all went out to Mineral Wells State Park for camping. We got there at 12:30 and it was crazy hot so after we made camp we decided to go swimming. After doing that for a while we rented a canoe which was sooo much fun. I had never gone canoeing before and my arms hurt a lot, but it was worth it. We even found a beachball floating on the lake. :) We took naps for a few hours until Tiffany got there and we decided to make dinner. Evan doused the fire with kerosene while we weren't looking and proceeded to almost kill himself and me. But save for a bit of singed hair it was all good and we made hot dogs and played poker for a while. When it finally started to cool off a little, we all went hiking for a while and it was so incredibly beautiful. I think we got some good pictures, so I'm looking forward to those. Brandon and Derrick finally got there around 10 or so, and Derrick proceeded to get pretty buzzed. We made smores and played poker for a while, but Evan had it in his mind that we HAD to go skinnydipping so we ended up doing that after a while. I guess it's cool to be able to say that i've done it, but almost getting caught by a park ranger doesn't make it worth it. The next morning we got up, made breakfast, and headed home. I was sad to be back around so soon, but I have lots of good memories. :)
Monday night I met Cecily for dinner at the Olive Garden and then we went and saw Episode III, which wasn't too cheesy until the Darth Vader reanimation scene. It was still fun though and now I won't be confused when people talk about it. I have so many more movies to see...
My grandparents and aunt got here not too long ago and the week of graduation madness has started. My grandma + my mom + a kitchen = excessive amounts of (delicious) food. They even brought me fresh salmon. :)Tomorrow more family is coming in and we are all going to Papadeux before the ceremony. I'm really excited because my brother is so excited about it. The bad thing is that I have to find some time to pack before Friday. hehe that might be difficult, but since I don't really sleep much anymore I'll probably just do it in the middle of the night.
