contacts and heel pain and bite marks, oh my!

On Monday, I finally got the contacts that were aviable in December!! I'm so happy to have them. It's exciting. I'm still getting used to them, but they are so nice to have. There's a breaking in period where I wear them more each day, and by Friday, I'm supposed to be wearing them all day. Happy, happy, happy.

In other news, I went to my foot doctor again yesterday. I've got feet problems and a good deal of pain in my left heel and right foot. Well, I'm supposed to go into physical therapy which will help, but yesterday the doctor suggested I get at cortizol (sp?) shot. Well, this is a shot that they put directly into the bottom of my heel!!! It really hurts! When he first stuck the needle in my heel, I pulled my foot back because I wasn't ready and it hurt. Then I was prepared for it and was able to hold my foot still, and he held onto it better. My mom held my hand so I could squeeze it. However, I also realized that it would be good to bite down on something, and I didn't want to make my lip bleed. Well, I was going to bite down on my forearm but the doctor didn't give me enough warning, so I chomped down on my hand. As the doctor moved the needle around in my foot, my mom told me to squeeze her hand harder, however, that got lost in translation, and I instead, chomped down harder on my hand. I left with pretty definate bite marks, and still have marks on my hand. It hurt. I was, however, pleased because I managed to make noises of pain rather than swearing, which is my usuall response to pain, and something I don't like to do in front of my mother. hehehe. So for the rest of the day, I couldn't bear weight on my heel, but it's better today. And hopefully within the week I can get into physical therapy, so we will get everything taken care off. Should be fun.
