I'm ready to blog and all of a sudden Jessica Alba is on the Early Show. Damn she looks good! She's got pigtails and this kinda country-ish girl look. The low-cut polka-dot shirt with those frilly edges. Wow.

Anyhow.......... :)

So another Friday is upon us. I finally got paid yesterday and what a relief that was. I realized one of the best feelings is the first paycheck at a new job. That's where all the work and everything comes to a point. Seeing the total, it's the first time my check has been over $1,000. I'm quite happy. I'm even happier that I can finally pay my bills. Washington Mutual rules and cleared my check right when I deposited it. I went home from there and proceeded to pay the electric, cable, and car insurance. I gotta pay the next Delorean payment and garage as well. I took $500 and put it into my savings so it's safe from accidental dipping-in. That's put aside for first month's rent, due around the 22nd.

Today I finally remembered to bring a remote control to work. We have TV's hanging from the ceilings all over, which is cool but being 5'4", I can't reach them to change the channel or volume. I brought the remote yesterday but I had the wrong size batteries. I made sure to have the right ones and now I'm all set. It's an old RCA remote that I bought because it's the base of the timer used in Sliders from season 3 and on. There was a website some guy was making that was going to show you how to turn it into a timer by making the circuitboards, cutting the plastic and ultimately making a replica sliders timer. Eventually the site never got past step 2 or 3 and I haven't checked it in years. I'd love to have a replica, but oh well.

Tomorrow is the first time in 4 years that I'm not going on the delorean fall foliage tour. The timing is just poor with me needing money for bills and new apartment items. Meridith and I figured that the weekend would run over $200 in gas, food, hotel and tolls. That's money I just can't part with at this time. It sucks but what can you do? We've been talking about driving to Orient Point this year because we did a day-trip to the Hamptons / Montauk last year in the Delorean. We had a great time and it was a suprisingly great time. We've said we should do the north fork to even it out. That's going to be tomorrow. So after work today I'm heading home to get a few things and then getting the delorean to bring out to her house. It'll be a nice trip.

So that's about it. The more things change, the more they stay the same. This month is already over and October is sure to fly by. Hockey is set to come back with the Islanders' pre-season ending last night w/ a victory over the rangers.

Peace.
