Am going to NYC with husband for a week, starting mid next week. Am very excited, as have never visited there properly before, and will be staying with a very cool friend we haven't seen in too long

Thank you! Appreciate the outside validation, as her objections were strenuous and made me doubt what constitutes appropriate care. Will now practice tact. *smacks boss upside the head*
With respect to your boss/friend, if their dogs can't cope with spending nights alone they're probably spoilt rotten and end up yapping the second they're out of sight. Your plan is far better than putting your dogs in a kennel, where they will get less attention, will still be alone at night, but with the added bonus of being out in the cold/wind/wet, and they would get the stress of being surrounded by unfamiliar dogs barking in an unfamiliar environment.
If I ever have the money to be able to go away (with Hubby! Huh...) again, that's the plan I'll be going with: Get everyone I know to take it in turns to look after the critters.
(Will beta once I've finished reading the flist... Yay! More fic ^_____^)
Damn straight! Thank you. The demons are, of course, spoiled rotten, but I think they're more than capable of spending the nights alone. They have mastered the art of "I'm bored. Think I'll sleep for fifteen hours." And I hate having to kennel them, 'cause it costs a fortune, plus the reasons you said.
Thanks for the beta. Sorry for making you work so hard!
