Hey kids. Did you miss me?
Shut up. I'm not your real father anyway.
Currently, I am traveling through Illinois. I left Ohio yesterday, and then Buffalo, NY earlier that day. Before that, we were in Rome, NY and before that Washington DC, and then Winson-Salem, NC. Here’s what I’ve learned.
Winston-Salem-NOTHING to do with witch burnings. Sorely disappointed. I was sure having Salem in the title would at least entitle me to witness some sort of heretical activity but alas, it was not so.
DC-People have too much money. The President does not walk around to go shopping downtown as my misguided assumptions had lead me to believe. For such a political city, there weren’t nearly enough protests going on. One protest?? Please. Lets protest anything and everything. Let’s protest money and bring back the Barter System. Let’s protest the lack of Whitecastles around the US. Lets protest that black people can say the N word but I can’t. Tough times.
Rome, NY-Not nearly Italian enough to be named Rome. And cold. The built-in Dennys to the hotel was a nice touch though.
Buffalo, NY-Coolest freakin city around. Awesome hotel too. And a built-in TGI Fridays to the hotel.
Anyways, I’ll be briefly home (Orlando) April 7th, 8th, and 9th. So you can get a little Adam time in there. April 8th is actually a performance for us though, so if anyone does actually feel like driving to Clearwater to see it, it’s at Ruth Eckerd Hall April 8th at 7:30.
I will also be home April 14th and 15th as well as my birthday weekend (28th, 29th, and 30th)
Other than those though, I’m freakin gone.
Adam news: I got offered a job at the Merry-Go-Round theatre in Auburn, NY. It was with another youth theatre and would require me to move up there. It was a very hard decision because everything about the job was great, good pay, good location, good people workin there….but in the end I turned it down. I just think by the end of this tour I’m going to be burnt out on youth theatre and I don’t think it would be productive to do 9 more months of it. But hopefully something else will come along.
Now you can either end and move on to the next entry….
This is how I spend most of my days
And yes--I am sleeping with my eyes open.
This hotel room is nicer than the whole city of Longwood.
We get to perform at theatres like this, the Shea in Buffalo. Note the awesomeness.
This is the inside. Imagine performing while its filled. It was fun
Look mom, I'm an actor!
Someone doesn't appreciate my acting pose...
And that concludes this weeks lecture.
Next week-- why don't Mexicans get jobs? and why do old people just LOOOVVEEE to take over the hot tubs that hotels sometimes have? The sign says 15 minutes max!! Boo. Arthritis isn't an excuse.
Count it!
