LJ Updates are against my religion...But anime cons are cool
I'm starting to REALLY get into the anime con spirit again. I was thinking about it a little when I thought that Magg-tacular could come to AB with me, but I'm now I'm really getting in gear and actually getting things done instead of just thinking about them. Maybe it's my involvement as Anime Club VP and all the planning that has me suddenly pumped, or maybe it's the fact that my spirits have been lifted by my new set of classes that will require me to actually work and not just waste my time, but I can't wait to put my con shoes back on in a little over three months and get back to Boston....But I'll save the rest of this for the end of my post.
I feel like I've been getting a lot done fairly quickly at Anime Club. We've haven't even had our first meeting yet and already I've gotten some dvds donated (Thanks again Julie!), obtained permission to set up a club site on a school server, and helped redo a little over half of the club constitution. I think I just missed feeling like I was in direct control of something I enjoy or feel is important. Last semester's classes were such a crock and my advisor had her head so far up her ass, it seemed like I'd be spending an extra year at school to make up for lost time. Being VP of the club keeps me busy doing something I enjoy and with school work tacked onto it, I think I'm in for a good semester. :D
But back to AB, I have decided that I am not doing Phoenix Wright anymore. It was a good idea, but it just didn't light that fire in my soul that keeps me interested in making a costume. Besides, I wanted something a little more...different. Now although most of you know exactly what I've switched it to, but thats mostly because I thought I might need your help. I'd like to keep it a terrible surprise for everyone else. ;) I plan on picking up some supplies for it tomorrow after I get to the library and get some work done.
On one final note, its FINALLY snowing and being COLD! HOORAY! On a negative note, it's really cold now! BOO! On my last final note, I like to complain! BOO-RAY!!
