My cousin Bogusia (age 24) just got married last May.  My mom just told me that she's expecting her first baby. 

There is a show called Rezoned on the Home and Garden Channel.  It shows how buildings that were not houses previously (firehouses, schools, stores, barns, shops, etc) are turned into homes.  I've always enjoyed history (a Kasia in an alternate universe is probably a history major or focused more on archaeology), so this show (as well as If Walls ( Read more... )

The bad thing about having younger cousins approaching adulthood is that they get to be teenagers in the meantime.  Slightly whiny teenagers that have begun to notice things like slight overuse of makeup (I was running late this morning and didn't slough off dead skin first, which makes any amount of coverup show up.  Oh the irony).  Ah well ( Read more... )

I, as most of you know, am an only child with a pretty angsty immediate family.  My mom came from a family of six kids (plus one adopted kid that was adopted around the time that my parents got married), with an even larger extended family.  She fondly remembers large, loud, family gatherings when everyone would tease each other and dinner lasted ( Read more... )

The Ed/Psych library (4 potential sources) and the Main Stacks (1 potential source) don't open till 1pm on Sundays. Banquet begins at two at the Alumni House, which is not nearby.
