I think the main difference between being single in the winter and being coupled in the winter is that when you're single in the winter all your couple friends go into, like, hibernation. They don't come out dancing. They don't go get drinks. They don't come to your parties. They don't want to tag along for shopping, or dinner, or coffee. They don't want to go bowling. They just want to watch TV and cuddle and wear PJ's and rent movies and eat yummy carb filled food.

... and you, as a single girl, are like "Jeez. You guys are lame." And you're all bummed out because your friends are really lame!

... but when you're in a relationship in the winter YOU go into hibernation too! You don't go out dancing, you don't go get drinks, you don't go to parties, you don't want to tag along for shopping, or dinner, or coffee. You don't want to go bowling. You just want to watch TV and cuddle and wear PJ's and rent movies and eat yummy carb filled food.

... and you, as a coupled up girl, are like "Jeez. I'm so lame." And you get all bummed out because you're really lame!

Really though, I haven't been leaving my apartment much. I'm not that bummed out about being lame, because let's face it, cuddling and watching TV and wearing PJ's and not leaving the apartment is nice. I'm just seeing the other side of things for the first time (I've been single all winter since high school), and realizing that either way you look at it....

Winter makes you feel lame and bums you out.
