I took my little kitty (who is not so little anymore) to get fixed today. He was very upset about the car rides, but I don't think he notices that his balls are gone.
I wonder if human beings would notice if we took their balls away before they were old enough to know what they are? Not that I'm suggesting we do some strange experiment on babies or anything, because seriously, I bet the babies would grow up and notice they didn't have balls. I just wonder why my cat won't too.
