please allow me this momentary digression. i'll be as brief as necessary.
the downtown area and bus tonight made me want to scream. when i got off though there were 3 separate couples in the parking lot across the street so i couldn't.
his name is LEO not neil and he's got a big forehead. oh god.
the bus mall though, full of assholes in white hats and dudes who were half-crunked out of their minds and the forever 21 girlfriends to match. the kind of girls who when they get drunk and around a lot of other people have a running commentary on what they're thinking and thinking about doing. they yell at anyone who is in earshot, "you got a lighter???"
anyone who participates in mardi gras in portland oregon is a fucking idiot. i walked to a less crowded bus stop and saw hundreds more of them.
on the bus i sat near the back. just behind me was a mexican with a big bushy mustache who kept smacking his lips the entire 15 minute ride. i thought he was chewing gum but when i looked at him he stopped making the smacking noises. and to his left there was a man panting while combing his sweat-marred hair back with a comb and proceeded to unroll a one time use bandage from his arm onto an empty toilet paper tube. he was sweaty and the unrolling unleashed an even sweatier smell. to his left and directly opposite me was teenage nosferatu. bad unkempt shaggy hair. cross necklace on a leather rope. cuffed pleated khakis. acne. unshaven teenage chin pubes. bass guitar in a case, an ipod and cell phone. one hand had the nails bitten down 'til they bled and the other hand had these dracula fingernails that were longer than i've ever grown mine. seriously disgusting looking, he was text messaging with them and ipodding with them and then he rolled a fucking cigarette with them. i about died from having to have this cacaphony of oddities surrounding me. he didn't even use a filter, just gross little nosferatu licked cigarette.
i wanted to tell him that even 40 years was too long to wait for him to die because he was already killing me in the 15 minutes i had to endure him. he also did that stoner head bob to his ipod selections. i hate humanity.
