It's almost over. I have so much time on my hands these days, don't know what to do with it. If my calculations are correct, I wouldn't have to take anymore tests ever again...after a sequence of 4 big tests in less than 3 months. I feel like I would be happier, but I don't really feel like I am. Well, initially I was of course. I just want to get out of here. But yeah, I feel like I should be doing more with my extra time, but I really don't want to be at school any more than I need to. These 4 years have really flew by, I remember as a first year, how I dreaded turning 26 because that's over the hill to 30. And here I am now. Damnit. It's gonna be interesting actually working for a living afterwards, first I have to find a job...which seems like another hurdle. But with all this extra time, I've been gaming a lot more. Maybe to the point that I feel like I don't want to game anymore.
I've been playing a lot of FFX HD...I can't believe I remember so much from that game after 13 years. I want to say that I remember most of the scenes in FFX, granted that I only played it once. As opposed to the likes of X-2 or 12. FFX is pretty linear though, very similar to XIII, that's why there was X-2 to break the linearity as was the reason for XIII-2. I guess SQEX hasn't learned from their mistakes. Tidus now annoys the shit outta me...even worse is that he looks super androgynous now. Looks nothing like his CG renders. Wakka annoys me too. Graphics are still bleh for FFX HD in terms of texture map and polygon count especially for NPCs, although they did redo the character models. FFX-2 HD graphics look much more polished, as expected. One thing that stands out kind of like a sore thumb is the voice acting. Not the individual voice actors themselves..well maybe some, but the dialogue authenticity for the scene just doesn't seem there as much. It's not organic. Like compared to The Last of Us or similar games which do the voice over at the same time as the mocap scenes, everything just sounds so much more real and organic. Because then it is literally like acting.
Speaking of voice acting, I really wonder how the voice actors do it. Because supposedly everyone's voice is different from what they hear when they talk vs when other people hear them. So does that mean the voice actors are hearing their voice exactly how other people hear them? I really wonder because some voice actors are amazing good. It's like, how do they know how to get the right tone and pitch for certain voices if they can't hear what it sounds like to other people themselves? Or do they...hmmm.
