can I be in You're Beautiful limbo forever? *____*
I missed Screenwriting today :/ I really, really could not be bothered to get out of bed and dash to the train station and get to class and just lsfjdlksjf. So I stayed in bed. I didn't have any Short Story lecture anyway because the lectures are over and we'll have one-on-one tutorials from now on, and mine's not on till next week. Not that this justifies skipping class to snooze, really, and I shouldn't miss any more classes because shit's getting important now and I will have coursework to hand in and I should know what I'm doing ¬_¬
I did go to band practice, though, albeit late. Our first session!! XD
It was just me, Joe and Mike (vocals, bass + guitar, in other words). Our drummer has left us, he sent as an angry email reply telling us to remove him from the group, even though we haven't even met him, and he never said he didn't want to be in the emails or whatever. We were all very bewildered.
Anyway, we tried playing a few songs, it didn't help though that I was unfamiliar with two of them and that Joe chose a song by Tom Waits but circulated a cover by a woman so that the vocals would be easier for me to emulate, only to realise the two versions have gross differences in both lyrics and music >.< We did get through Natalie Imbruglia's Torn though, and it sounded alright. Minus my unwarmed voice, of course :P I need to warm up before I go head-first into belting out solos, otherwise I have no control whatsoever over my voice. And that can be awkward at best and unaesthetic at worst :P
It went okay though, I'd like to think. Time will tell, but they're a very cooperative bunch so we should be able to at least have some fun while practicing :)
After practice I went by Stuart's. He bought me the Christmas tree I asked him for!! :D It's a fiber optic one with embedded lights and whatnot. And it was only £10 :D and another £10 for a big box of decorations ^___^ It's going to be awesome, I can't wait for Nadia to come so we can all decorate the living room together! I still need to get the lights for the windows, though. I want some for my room as well! How I love Christmas lights! ^^
Stuart took me to the Gaming Society's social pub dinner thing they do every Monday. He said some people were very curious about me O.o When I got there though I realised I already knew most of the people there, from either Anime or just around campus with mutual friends etc. The food at the pub was great :) Which was fortunate because I was starving :P We talked about Stuart's formal birthday event thing he's planning for January, it's going to be all formal dress code and ballroom dancing and stuff, and he wanted songs for the playlist. I said I'll have a look through my stuff, although knowing me I'll most likely come up with a combination of soundtrack songs + Sinatra (or anything similar). Which should still be awesome, because Sinatra is awesome. XD Any ideas are appreciated though. Maybe I could ask around a community for this O.o
Went back to Stuart's to pick up the tree and then left in a hurry because You're Beautiful subs for episodes 13 and 14 were out!! I swear every week they take less and less. Which is awesome! :D I've rambled about this drama to Stuart so much that when I told him "subtitles for the drama are out omg *spazz*" when Amy texted me he just went "ohhh okay". Lol I may have been a bit overwhelming. But I can't help it.
Waiting for the next episodes of You're Beautiful is in fact half the fun of following this series. The other half is, of course, ALL THE CUTENESS, OMG. I can't believe it'll be over next week ;_; I don't want it to. But I want to see what will happen. But I don't want it to end D:
It's been so good, seriously. Dare I say it's been better than BOF? It's very different, but in a lot of ways (and this may be because the plot is unknown to me, and I'm not constantly comparing this series to something else, like I did with BOF) YAB is much more exciting and fun to watch. Not that BOF wasn't - that drama was EXCELLENT, A+++++. But You're Beautiful, it's something else.
They're all so cute and their personalities are so amazing, where do I even begin! Tae Kyung is amazing, he's so cute but he can be so serious and dramatic the very next second, there's so many sides to him. I didn't even think he could be so expressive but his face, it does all the acting, no words are even needed! And Jeremy, OH MAN. Episode 14. CAN IT PLEASE ALWAYS BE LIKE EPISODE 14. He needs more screen time, I'd have loved to see more sides of Jeremy. We got used to him as the comic relief, bright and fun-loving and sexually confused guy that when suddenly he showed us his emotional side it was like *____* moar, please?! I'm actually not sure how I feel about Shin Woo right now, I'm starting to dislike him a bit for the extreme passive stance he's taking, if he doesn't take some seriously dramatic action next episode I'm classifying him as type Orihime, aka NOT INTERESTING :P And to think he was so adorable, with how he always liked Go Mi Nam Nyu but never said anything or got interrupted... I think the moment I started disliking him was when she was almost outed and he stepped up for her and then, instead of telling her "ah yes, I've known all along, and I've liked you all along, just fyi" he went along with his act of knowing nothing, and just URGHHH. So many wrong decisions. Not that he'd ever have a chance, not when he's against the cuteness of Tae Kyung, sry2say. He's pretty and all, and the sweet love he's harboured for GMN is adorable, but... TAE KYUNG <3 It's like, I'm not even sorry for Shin Woo anymore. Just when he got the courage up to confront GMN and confess, Tae Kyung realised his feelings for her. Done deal, and way cuter. So. Bye bye Shin Woo.
The one I'm really sorry for is Jeremy. I REALLY WANTED TO SEE HIS LOVE FOR GMN. But they hardly showed us anything. If we'd seen more pining, or some actual Jeremy/GMN going in, it would have been a million times better.
