*whacks self*

I took the train to uni and there were these creeptard chav guys who were looking at me weird and talking about me, thinking I wasn't listening because I was wearing earphones. >_< I was so scared I couldn't read the photocopies in my hands properly. Damn last minute cramming ¬_¬ I evaded them when I got into Uxbridge, I took the other exit and practically ran through the town square :P I get so paranoid around freaky people because I know I'm an easy target... Luckily I got to uni in one piece though.

HOWEVER.
I got to my exam almost half an hour late because I thought it was at 2:30pm, but it really was at 2 o'clock.

MAJOR BRAINFAIL, KATH.

I went in anyway, sat down, and within the remaining hour I neatly wrote out three pages (!), which I believe is more than enough quantity-wise. I think I did pretty well. It was a surprise, because I spent at least 5-10 minutes when I sat down going "shit. shit. this is the module you've already lost 50% of the grade for, you should at least take extra care and be at the exam on time, don't you reckon?! I hate my life. D:" But I actually think I did pretty well, so YAYYY. :)

Afterwards Emily, Jennifer and I went to the library to get books for ourselves, not for any essay or module, which felt awesome ^___^ Jennifer had to leave though because she had her car parked somewhere and wanted to avoid getting fined for staying longer than her display ticket thingy said. So Emily and I stayed and perused the second floor, aka the English section.

I'm like totally not looking at my phone camera, OTL
PRETTY PRETTY BOOOOOOKS <3

I got me a few books on writing.
  • The Pocket Muse, a book with prompts, photos, inspirational situations and other relevant stuff to get your creative flow going :)
  • Plotting the Novel, a guide to the process of writing a novel from conceiving the idea to structuring it etc.
  • Writing Dialogue, which is basically what it says :P
  • Creating Character Emotions, with useful ideas and advice on how to get your characters' emotions across by showing rather than telling,
  • and the Routledge Dictionary of Quotations, which is exactly what it says :P I got it for my Criminal Minds fanfiction, because I want to find appropriate quotes to begin and end fics like they do in the episodes. I'm such a geek.
I'm planning to make full use of these while writing during summer :) I have planned to write so many things, and I really want to do them all ^^ It will be good practice. I actually can't wait to start writing for me, and do all the fanfiction/original projects I have in mind. :D

That being said, there's one more thing.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, kazayami
You smarmy git. I hope this year rocks for you. :)

exams, books, friends, criminal minds, emily, writing, university, fanfiction, original fiction (mine)
