GOOD NEWS:
- Our bedroom windows were replaced today ^^ Now we have spiffy new double-glazed windows :D (see pic above)
- My certificates ACTUALLY ARRIVED TODAYYYY ^____^
- Anime Day Out is tomorrow, we're gathering with all the people from my uni's Anime Club and going around London to do stuuuufff ^^ Amy's coming too, so it's going to be awesoooome :D We're going to Okawari for dinner and that korean place for karaoke, yayyy!
- I had a breakthrough on one of my original stories (my main original story, a teen mystery/thriller set in the future) while listening to Rescue <3 It still sounds cliche and parts of it resemble other mystery/scifi things, so I'll work on it and perfect it, but at least I finally got the major idea that will help me create the rest of the world and characters and plot.
- Seriously, that song is frickin' ADDICTIVE. And I'm in a major Kat-tun mood lately, MAJOR I tell you. XD
BAD NEWS:
- Had to wake up at 8 today =_=... I don't like getting up early...
- I got my certificates 3 hours late (3pm instead of 12noon) because the plane that brought them here landed later than expected due to adverse weather conditions (mist etc)... I didn't know the closing times for the Admissions office, so I emailed the woman in charge and by the time she replied to me it was 4pm, and they closed at 5pm... What she didn't know of course was that from where I live it takes at least 45 minutes to get into uni, which means that by the time I'd get there it would already be 5pm...
- I'd been given a deadline for Sunday to give the certificates in, but of course when I asked them about it they said they're not open in the weekend. So why give a deadline for Sunday, IDIOTS.
- I practically ran there (to and from train stations etc), got there at 5:10pm and of course the building doors were locked. OF COURSE YOU DUMMY KATH, WHAT DID YOU EXPECT.
- Got home only to find a reply from the office woman (who had replied while I was running my ass off in fear of getting deregistered or something) that said "as long as we get them by 10am Monday, you'll be fine". OHHH THANK YOU FOR THE CLARIFICATIONNN, YOU'RE RIGHT ON TIIIME. Spent £4.20 for a fancy Tube + bus ride to Uxbridge and back for nothing. >_< Plus the anxiety to get there fast really had a toll on me physically (me + running = not friends, knotted stomach = not a pleasant feeling, etc).
... HOWEVER:
- I got my breakthrough for that story of mine while on the train to Uxbridge, so something good came out of it.
- Was cheered up by episode 4 of Love Shuffle and episode 9 of Mei-chan no Shitsuji (more on those tomorrow, I want to make proper reviews :3 They were both awesome ^^) and also episodes 1-3 of Yamada Tarou Monogatari which is one of the most EPIC dramas I have seen, SO HILARIOUS. Good stuff.
- Since I'll be fine if I take them in on Monday, I can relax and do that first thing on Monday morning ^^
I got really really mad at my uni for not telling me the deadline was in fact today by 5pm >.< Is it not natural for one to think the office will be open at least on Saturday when they give you a Sunday deadline? And shouldn't they say what times they are open, just so there's no misunderstanding? I mean, the School of Arts office closes at 2pm every day if I remember correctly, so why should I assume the Admissions office is any different unless I can find that information somewhere? Grrrrrr. So mad at them, seriously.
Augh. Need to go to sleep, got a long day tomorrow :S Today has been so tiriiiiiing ~___~
Drama review post coming up, for sure. And OMG I just remembered I owe some of you guys certain memes!! I'm sorry, I forgot!! I'll get to them asap!!
