I've had several troubling conversations here lately. A few months ago, I was speaking with my friend Josh just prior to him shipping out. He asked me a series of questions that I could not answer. The other day, I was speaking with another deployed friend about a current situation. His response really struck me, even more than Josh's questions. "The want-to-be-Marine in you has died. She would cuss you out, tell you to get your ass in gear, and then threaten to shove a flag pole up your ass or light a blow torch under it to get you moving. Now go get your ass hot, before I come back and do it for you." As much of a distaste as I have for who I was, I think it is time to go back. Anyone who remembers, what's your take? Good idea? Bad idea?
