Happy Spring, ya'll.

A barge hit the Popps Ferry bridge this morning, incapacitating it. Luckily no one was hurt, as it was a bit early for the morning rush. I'd noticed a few sirens as I got up, and then was suprised at the number of emergency vehicles flying by as I was taking out the garbage and recycleables. Crazy day.
There's a possible good thing floating in the wind for us at the moment. I don't want to talk about it too much, because I'm afraid if I start getting excited about it, it won't happen. But, I'll post more if it comes through. It'll be next month before we find out, but I'm still sort of bubbling.
It's officially spring, and my sinuses are officially screaming. But, it is certainly a beautiful start to the spring. I'm rather glad to see it come. The coinciding of this possible good news with the new season is also promising. Perhaps it'll be a new start on many levels. But, of course with spring comes the upkeep of lawns, so my daily to do list keeps getting longer, but that's ok. There's something weirdly cathartic about raking leaves and cutting grass.
The camelias are falling from the bushes--the last I'll see of these beauties that I've always loved. Sure, I can always plant some  somewhere else, but I'll never get back Nana's camelias. But that's okay.  Here's to a beautiful new spring of new opportunities and hope for us all.

Today's to-do list:
