It seems like coming back from break was all us Stanford kids needed to just go insane. These past two weeks have just been pure madness. Some highlights from the incredible world of college, folks:
Coming back and finding that two of my roommates had moved all of my shit and my other roommate's shit into the middle common room and that they had created two singles for each other in the two side bedrooms. The most baffling moment of my life (at that point). Five hours of moving back. Plus them being pissed-off at US because it had taken them eight hours to move it all in the first place. yes. definitely our fault.
The first Friday night back after break. I think our dorm went insane. First getting invited to a pre-frat party... Saturday morning running into Cara and Carly in the hall at 8 am... Cara... "I'm so sorry I sexiled you." Me... "What?" 'nuff said.
No matter how awesome it may seem... dormcest is not a good idea.
Getting ridiculously sick and having the doctor diagnose me with mono within one minute of looking at me. Then not actually ever getting my test results back. So I don't think I have mono.
Mike on Thursday night... "I don't know what planet I'm on..." after drinking waaaaay too much and then smoking waaaaay too much.
2B party this Friday... I've never seen more football players in one hall in my life.
Me to (a very drunk) Nate: "Well, it's your weekend to be sexiled, so I just wanted to tell you if you want to sleep in our room tonight that's fine."
Nate gasps: "I DON'T WANT TO SLEEP WITH YOU!"
Me: "No, Nate, not with me... in Cara's bed."
Nate: "Oh, well that's okay."
Going to bed Saturday and waking up in the morning and looking up into Cara's bed and just staring at someone who is not Cara.
Me: "You're not my roommate."
Nate: "Hellooo!"
I guess he got sexiled twice this weekend. That's pretty rough. Though, the fact that I slept through someone who was not my roommate coming into my room and climbing up into her bed... is also rough.
Then our RA's alarm went off for THREE HOURS and no one could get in to turn it off.
And this morning the fire alarm went off but Cara and I both slept through it. And no one thought to wake us up. And our window is effectively painted shut so we can't open it. So if it had been a real fire, and not just a burnt pizza-induced fire we would have died. Thanks, guys. *sigh* hehe.
Winter quarter is definitely getting to people. And it's only week 3. I don't even know what to think of my life right now. It's just all so weird. Plus now I have so much school to make up. Blargh.
