It's all been happening lately!
I'm going onstage in July for the first time with the drama group! It rocks especially because I'm performing in a sketch I wrote! I'm playing God so everyone has had to endure my tedious jokes about how great that must mean I am! I'm playing it like a really up himself, arrogant movie star. He thinks he's really cool but he's totally not. Three of us are in it so we've got to really pull it off and carry it well because it's one of the longer sketches in there. I'm nearly there with the lines so that's good - just remembering the flow of the convo is the hardest part! The big speeches, I remembered straight away but some of the little things tripped me up! I haven't stammered either which I'm really happy about.
I'm in another sketch but I don't have any lines in that - I'm a kid with a saucepan stuck on his head! I do have to know the cues though so I'll be working on that.
There's 21 sketches overall. There was 22 when Harry Met Sally was in but because of potential controversy with the "I'll have what she's having" scene, it was cut! Really funny stuff in there though.
If anyone is around and free, it's on the 20th and 21st of July in Leigh (near Southend). Would be great to see you.
Joining that group is one of the best things I've done. The social side is great as well. Since I joined and I started working at Dansk (where I know a lot of the people anyway), I've been getting out more and stuff and life is really moving along well.
Went to Clacton to stay in a caravan on the weekend with my dad. His girlfriend and her family were there - they do it as a yearly tradition. I'd met her before but not the family and it was really cool and we got on really well. Spent most of the time getting drunk and playing football!
Some minor issues like some skin problems (my back again) and a malfunctioning comp but nothing that can't be sorted out!
