Two weeks in

Currently on emergency medicine. 10 hr shifts, working either 1:00pm-11:00pm or 9:00pm-7:00am. Lots of psych, and eeek eek eek, some peds and OB-Gyn. I thought I had left those behind!
Sometimes it's quite chaotic.... like when 5 ambulances pull up at once. Other times, there's nothing to do. Several mornings, I got to go home around 6:30am because there were no new patients. Of course, the payback is that when I work the afternoon-evening shift, I usually don't get to leave until midnight.

Days off are used for chores. Mostly of the laundry variety. A couple of days I got to actually socialized. I met up with luvcoco97 a couple of weeks ago and caught up with her. Then I went to look at condos with her and Ed. XD I'm such a third wheel.
Today I met up with a friend whom I haven't seen in years. I've known her since first grade! The last time I saw her was in college. It was kinda funny; I didn't even know she had moved to this city. She just IM'ed me one day. We went to Japantown here because I wanted to go see the festival they were having. Unfortunately, it was quite small. They did have a taiko performance, but there was no shade so we didn't stay long. At least now I know where to find Japanese food when I want it.

Got my first paycheck last week....... On the one hand, it's my first paycheck since college! On the other hand, I've had bigger paychecks in college! XDDD On yet another hand (er, let me borrow yours), it was only for 3 days of work. I'm not quite sure why we have an hourly rate or how they decided how many hours we worked, considering we do not clock in.

Finally watched the Tenipuri 100 song marathon. Sadly, I didn't recognize a lot of the songs/seiyuu. However, I applaud the choreographer who did the dances. To use a phrase from college, Cheesetastic!
