The Boat In The Ocean

On Life you go
Sailing with a merry wind
The Sun shining
The Ocean smooth, colorles like glass
Until the Skies darken
The wind tears the sail
The hull battered to submission
And in this torrent everything becomes clear
You stop fighting to save the Boat
And you wonder why you go on?
To the Ocean you look
The surface torrential and horrible
But underneath it is calm and peaceful
Afraid at first to leave the boat
You jump
