It's raining again.

Yesterday was productive, even if I didn't get all my errands done.

As usual copperlee and I had so many things to talk about. We're both going to try using our slow cookers more, since I've got gardening during the daylight hours and she's got classes. This is her last week of the first term of college btw. We'd both appreciate it if anyone has any ( Read more... )

What are these recipes of which you speak? *grin*

Seriously, in the crockpot we tend to throw in meat/tofu, veggies of various descriptions, tomatoes/broth, ocassionally some alcohol for taste, and spices as we see fit. 8 hours later, we have stew/soup/roast.

I have a few recipes I have tried in the crockpot... the Baked Eggplant used a lot of fresh stuff. You could try that one.

Or go to CD Kitchen. They have recipes you can adjust according to the number of servings you want, and all the measurements magically alter themselves.

As for restraint.... muhahahahahah! ;)

*smacks you with a fresh trout* ;-)

Mmmm, baked eggplant. That's an idea. But I'll probably wait until the local eggplants are ready. The ones from the trucks always taste rubbery to me.

Shall check out the link.

Yes, it is a totally alien concept isn't it?

OH and the cafe, is on Queen, eas of Bathurst so it might make a spot to stop on our way into town to get a cuppa and something to eat.

You're quite possibly right. Lord knows she just lays there and doesn't even look to see what's going on when I start up in the middle of the night now.

It's a bad sign when your cats get so used to you trying to hack up a lung that they ignore you, isn't it?

So you think I should try the hairball medicine? I guess it couldn't hurt.

House was awesome. Speaking of which, have you seen my latest post? ;-)

If it helps with the no spending bit I could ask for Ozy's plastic weapons before she leaves? :-)

As for recipe

1) Open fridge door
2) Throw any/all available leftovers/tidbits into pot (anything with
mold goes into garbage)
3) Cover with water
4) Add "Red" or "Green" spices (Ozy's patented spice categorization)
5) Cook for 8 hours

Yes, but that would only protect your credit cards, not mine. In fact, come to think of it, it might end up doing more damage to mine that way. Ha! I'm on to your nefarious plan you scroundrel you! *beg*

This reminds me of my grandmothers recipes. It either started with, "you open the can" or "you take a handful of this..." in both cases, not very helpful, but amusing, just like you. ;-)
