It's raining again.

Yesterday was productive, even if I didn't get all my errands done.

As usual copperlee and I had so many things to talk about. We're both going to try using our slow cookers more, since I've got gardening during the daylight hours and she's got classes. This is her last week of the first term of college btw. We'd both appreciate it if anyone has any crock pot/slow cooker recipes that use fresh, not canned/frozen or prepared foods. Most of the recipes we've found tend to focus on that sort of thing which is not what we want. We're also very much into ethnic cooking. So please post if you've got something that fits the bill. *g*

Oh and we've both got the mega sized slow cookers. Does anyone know if it's feasible to just double a recipe in order to make a full pot or is that inadvisable? Most of the recipes we've found are for the one and half litre size pot.

The wind was miserably cold yesterday. Especially after a week of sunshine and seventies. It's only supposed to get worse before it gets better. Rain and a nasty wind today. Below zero celsius at night for the rest of the week. At least they've canceled the rain for Saturday which means we should be able to walk around Toronto without getting soaked or having to carrying the ubiquitous umbrella. I don't think Ozy or I would be smart going out in the cold and getting all wet.

For the same reason I'm still indoors. Dad has convinced me that the yard work isn't going anywhere. ;-) A fact I knew, but it eats away at my mind knowing there's stuff to be done and that I'm not doing it. Besides, it's not like I don't have plenty to do inside as well. And catching up on rest and lj posts is still a priority.

I've narrowed down a list of three really nice yarn shops for Ozy and I to visit on Saturday. One of them, Romni Wools http://www.romniwools.com/ is the biggest yarn shop in Canada. I doubt they'll be able to beat the prices from the internet shop I order from in BC, but I'm willing to give it a shot. The second is a relatively new establishment, The Knit Cafe http://www.theknitcafetoronto.com/, and the third is Lettuce Knits http://www.lettuceknit.com/ The trick will be not pulling the credit card out of the wallet to quickly. *vbg*

I guess Ozy and I will just have to restrain each other. Okay. I can hear the maniacal laughter from here. I know the odds of that working are very low, but still, we can try, right?

EDIT: Ginger just had an evil hairball. She doesn't get them often and she freaks when it happens. Now she's stretched out at my feet. Dad says she needs protection. lol Though I'm not sure if she's protecting me, or herself.
