Vid rec: Jesus Christ
astartexx did a wonderful job for this Supernatural vid. Jesus Christ is a haunting take on Dean, his fears and his faith (or lack thereof). I especially love the way some scenes transition from colour to monochrome, reflecting Dean's fear. I also love the way his deal is referenced; the lyrics are oblique but stark in their simplicity.
Well, Jesus Christ, I’m alone again.
So what did you do those three days you were dead?
Cause this problem's gonna last
More than the weekend.
And the lines that follow are made all the more poignant with the recent revelation of what Dean will become once his year is up:
Well, Jesus Christ I’m not scared to die
I’m a little bit scared of what comes after.
