So, my co-partner in all things fight school has been gone for a while now -- I was just wondering if those current teachers and students wanna check in and just make sure everything's working out. And if there's any new recruits? I'm Buffy Summers and I'll be happy to match you up with someone as soon as I rescue the thing from the shambles of being Gorohless. [ a rather affectionate kind of sarcasm. okay, sure. she misses the guy. what of it? ]
Also, hi to all you New Feathers. Sorry you got dragged into guinea pig central but those of us here have tried to make the best of it. I'm one of the barmaids down at Good Spirits so don't get too shy to drop in and introduce yourself -- you know, preferably before you drink so much that you forget your own name and the introduction becomes horribly moot.

that evening she is gracing the space behind the counter at good spirits. new and old friends alike are welcome to chat, banter, mud-sling or even wish her a belated happy birthday. but if the bar isn't your style then she'll also be on a short patrol just after dinner.
once home for the night in the wee hours of the morning, buffy is kept up thinking about the combat school and about the conversations that used to surround it. about a student that never actually existed but who, in a perverse kind of way, she missed. before dawn, she scribbles (and then crosses out): will turner? ]
