[ it is about time to try and smile on through the difficulties. there is a christmas day to be celebrated and gifts to be opened and given. so buffy puts on her bravest of brave social faces and is out making her christmas gift rounds.

at home, there will be gifts under the beautifully decorated tree for bones, willow, emony and scottyaround

[ Willow's left Buffy a present, too, and she wants to see her BFF's reaction. Or at least make sure Buffy gets it. So she heads down to see the tree. ]

[ buffy is sitting on the couch with her attention directed to the little bartending manual bones gave her. when willow comes into the room, she will look up with a smile. ] Merry Christmas!

Bones got me a mixology manual. Some day we have got to try a...[ squinting ] grasshopper.

There's a drink called a grasshopper? I hope it's not all green. That'd be weird.

[ She heads for the tree, to see if Buffy's gotten her gift yet and fish it out if not. ]

Actually? I think it is green.

[ She can't help laughing. ]

Guess it's up to what it tastes like. Could be worse ways to spend the morning.

If you're looking for yours? [ buffy laughs. ] I just finished wrapping it last night. It's at the back.

[ Aaand there it is! Willow shakes her head as she pulls out Buffy's gift and offers it. ]

Nope. I was looking for this one.

[ She'll grab hers in a minute. ]

Ooh, presenty goodness. [ she gently sets the manual aside in favour of this one. ]

Shall we open together?

Sounds good to me.

[ She fetches hers from the back and holds it ready. ]

[ willow's present from buffy is a two parter. first, there is a pair of comfy pajamas. But nestled in tissue paper are three different crystals. quartz meditation and clarity. ruby for happiness and healing hearts. and finally amethyst for mental acuity and protection. all for meditative reasons with a little note: how about some light wicca-y meditation? these are kinda like the crystals giles used to use in my training. i hope they can help you, too. love, -- buffy ]

[ Buffy's gift is a stuffed animal, not quite the same as Mr. Gordo, but it was the closest she could find at the time, and a pretty silver necklace.
