The moon was full, typical, boring blue against the purple sky, while I sat there naked, waiting for the cycle to begin again. It came in waves at first, intense stabbing pains and dull muscle throbs, the kind they tell you to take painkillers for, I try to ignore it, but I never can. It kept getting worse.

The anger starts. Why me? I ask myself, red haze of rage starting to cloud my vision, whispered angst becomes snarls, and it begins slowly. My blood begins to boil, thundering through veins, and pounding in my ears. I scream now, bones begin to twist into unnatural shapes, forming legs that no human should wear. I feel my arm bones break in a hundred places and reset themselves, lengthening, growing stronger. My Jaw dislocates, my skin tightens over too big a face, my snout forms fully, taking in the smells of the night. I howl in pain, the primal howl of something killed, and reborn.

The instinct takes over. Now is the time of Hunt. To whomever I kill tonite, I'm truly sorry. I can't contain it anymore, the Beast must feed.
