Signs of the Doom of the Anime Industry #129.
When I said I wished to see the day when Anime DVDs would be reasonably affordable, unlike the days of paying $30 for a 2 episode VHS tape...

THIS IS NOT WHAT I MEANT!
Inu-Yasha DVDs, in the bin, at my local 99 Cents Only store, plus a random Dukes of Hazzard DVD that seemed to be there just to screw up my shot. Yes, 99.99 cents for each volume of 3 episodes of Rumiko Takahashi's work. Granted, if those had been Ranma ½ DVDs in there, I actually would've probably bought one of each and thank my good fortune. Since it's Inu-Yasha, I was somewhat less enthusiastic.
I'm sure
kamuishirou1999 will forward this to Toshi, who'll probably need to be consoled by a lot of alcohol. At least, more than usual anyway. But, I did my really really small part to help out by buying a few volumes myself. The gesture is admittedly mostly symbolic, since I don't plan to fill in the volumes surrounding. But there are times to make a principled stand.
Please don't note the fact that there were more than 3 unique volumes in the bin. I said symbolic gesture. ^^;;
