Anime Vegas is actually planning to run this year. Labor Day weekend as usual. Hrm...
Plane tickets to Dragon*Con are making that trip too expensive. Hrm...
Star Trek the Experience closes Labor Day Weekend. And that's over at the Hilton

I'm just thinking about it right now. Technically speaking, a trip to Vegas is actually likely to be close to as expensive as a trip to Dragon*Con, if for no other reason than that in a trip to Atlanta, at least I don't have to account for a gambling budget. >_<
---
$150 (hotel after taxes) + $130 (gas) + $80 (vehicle deferred maintenance) + ~$40 (food - 6 buffets will cover 3 meals a person for two people, but that leaves likely one or maybe two more meals late or early on one or two of those days, depending on how we plan) + $55 (Anime Vegas badge - damn, that's expensive) + $400 (gambling budget - because honestly, the odds of me spending 3 days at Anime Vegas doing only the con strikes me as somewhat unlikely) = $855, though it can be lower depending on how badly or well I do gambling.
vs.
$450 (hotel) + $375 (flight) + $13 (gas / deferred maintenance) + $25 (parking) + $50 (alloted transportation budget) + $120 (food) + $90 (badge - assuming after today) = $1123. If I could cut the hotel costs to 1/3rd that, by either finding a more distant hotel or finding roommates, then things looks more up and up.

EDIT: Damnit, nevermind. That promotion is only for Hilton Players Club members with some quantity of rated play. -_- Okay, back to the drawing board.
