APRIL 2 - APRIL 8
MONDAY: Outings -
PARK - Played on the Jungle gym, observed ducks, gulls, and other local wild life, pointing out differences in male and female if possible (Ben already knew!), identified pine cones (and had a pine cone fight).
LIBRARY - Talked about proper library behavior. Returned books, checked out more. Daddy and Benji had reading time while Mom browsed.
TUESDAY:
Reading - Word Recognition: That, its, Mom, Dad, eat, can, not, see, cat, this, him, part, did.
Language - Japanese - first 5 character: Ah, E, oo, Aye, O
Art - Free Imagination Drawing - He was drawing Disney (Dumbo, castles, etc).
Music - Classic Disney CD
WEDNESDAY: - REVIEW DAY!
Reading - Word Recognition: That, its, Mom, Dad, eat, can, not, see, cat, this, him, part, did.
StarFall short I puzzle (short a and o puzzle done last week sometime), with Dad and the TinMan.
Language - Japanese - first 5 character: Ah, E, oo, Aye, O
Math - Placing counters 1-10, and ODD/EVEN review; Balance beam.
Nature - Benji helped with filling up water bottles for water evaporation (on top of daily feeding help).
THURSDAY:
Gym - Trampoline
Music - Sara Hickman’s Toddler CD from Library.
Art - Buki - “Kiddie Color Animals”
FRIDAY:
Park - Play time and Fishing with Daddy.
Reading - Lesson #24, Bob books #1-1 “Mat”
Art - Buki Animals Coloring X2 pages
SATURDAY:
Easter egg hunt at the Park
Language - Practice Writing of Japanese 5 Characters: A, I, U, E, O and Learning words that Start with them. Asagao (Morning Glory), Inu (dog), Oni (demon), Ushi (Cow), Ebi (shrimp); Ari (ant); Uma (horse); Enpisu (pencil).
Introduction - Ka, Ki, Ku, Ke, Ko
Art - Introduction to Tracing with Stencils
Math - Introduction of how to use the Push table (ie push 3-2 to reveal 1).
Read - Bob Books: 1-1 “Mat” and 1-2 “Sam” - Read Mat, Sam, and Zac the RAT to his Grandfather in the car, who came to take us to dinner (fastest I've ever seen him read those books, what a show off).
Gym - Trampoline
SUNDAY: EASTER!
Gym - Park - Just to run around and burn energy, too cold to stay long.
Read - Lesson #25
He seems to be enjoying most everything and about 1/3 of the time will initiate a "lesson" himself.
