Part 5 of Kabillion
See... really i'm getting on it.. Just never enough hours in the day... .... been picking up more work to do, to try to ease the Polo no job thing. I thought he'd still be working part time at his old job... since he was on Per deium now, but he just walked away from it. i guess he was much more fed up with it then I thought. I guess all that combined with the crazy spring weather is what set off all my migraines.......
We met up with my old roomie Debstar (Polo's nick name for her) and went hiking. Before we started we got the BEST HUMBOAs/MANAPUAS Ever at this little hole in the wall place. Wouldn't have even guess they served food there.
They had pork, kahula pork, chicken, custard, duck, just about any combination baked or steamed and it was soo tasty.
Then we went to a local Philipino shop and I got this breakfast type thing... for some reason the flavor really reminded me of cream of wheat, but it was taro and tapioca balls, although i didn't like the big chunks of taro.
Oh yea while waiting for the debstar to show up, we found some REALLY HUGE Snails on the plants. They kinda freaked me out. ... i've never seen such big snails before.
Then we went on our hike.. it was very pretty and really not TOO bad, cept there were stairs, and my knees dont like stairs. but it was fun. Had to cross the river a couple times, and the falls were much smaller then i thought they'd be, but I would do it again. I absolutely need to get in better shape. It was also muddy. We had to go take a shower at the Debsters house. which was ALL WHITE.... carpet, couch, etc.
It was hard to get a good shot without the power/phone lines in the way.
Lots of people were jumping off the small cliffs.
