Drink Coke...Play Again...

In case you're wondering what I've been up to, here's a hint. I now wear a Band-Aid on my right pointer finger because of a blister injury I received when playing Mario Party for Nintendo GameCube too vigorously...

Last week was pretty uneventful. Work, work, work, etc. I'm getting used to the daily grind. I don't hate this work schedule as much as I thought I would.

Last Friday after work me, Chris, Beth and Jonno went to Chili's for some grub and margaritas. Our waitress was awesome and gave us Chili's t-shirts. Then afterward, Leah joined us and I was talked into seeing Madagascar. I went under the conditions that we would be buying nips of Smirnoff and putting them into our Cokes at the theater. It was a little awkward...seeing as we were mixing drinks at the movies, surrounded by the throngs of 7 year olds also in attendance. Whatever. The movie was pretty good for being non-Disney. Then we just chilled at the Boulders and watched the Ellen HBO special, which is always a good time.

Saturday morning Jonno joined me on a road trip to go pick up Nic and bring him to these here Western Mass parts for the weekend. We were supposed to meet up with Kim for lunch, but the slut was too hungover.

Weekend with Nic = I'm a happy boy. Lots of Mario Kart challenges with Jonno and Chris. I had to take care of the cats AGAIN at my house because my parents go away every weekend. But it was nice to get together with Trista and Eric again on Sunday night. It's been far too long since we've gotten drunk together and just sing and dance around like flamers in my basement. I miss those days. I miss my friends.

I'm becoming a regular on the MassPike but I don't mind the drive to Mansfield anymore. It's becoming a routine trip to make and I like the quiet time I get when I'm alone in the car. However, I hate when I start to overthink...

As I mentioned before, my parents go away to Vermont EVERY weekend to help my aunt and uncle renovate/redecorate their little cottage on a lake that they're turning into a full-fledged house. And this weekend my aunt asked if I could come up with them to add to the manpower of finishing everything up so the house can be enjoyed for the summer. At first I was like, ok - I'll go. A little hammering here, some carrying and lifting there, then maybe some water-skiing and campfires. But oh no..my mother has already warned me it won't be pretty. She said the entire premises is muddy and disgusting and not to wear shoes of any value, or clothes of value. I'll be carrying shingles and tiles up to the roof for a full day, then nailing the shingles to the roof, etc. Then there's trees to be cut down and moved. Ugh - I'm already feeling miserable about this experience. I just want this week, this weekend, and next week to fly by already. June 11th is the next day on my calendar which shows I am not working or performing manual labor til I die in Vermont. Kill me now.

Gotta love Hollywood Video's 99 cent rentals. Today I got Boogeyman, Hotel Rwanda, The Aviator, The House Of Flying Daggers and White Noise. So far I've watched Boogeyman and it was dreadfully awful. I think now I'ma go try watching another movie til I fall asleep. Goodnight, world.

P.S. - Carrie Underwood won American Idol over Bo Bice. America has finally done something right.
