So Angelus has a soul. What does that mean? Will he be little warmer? Will he be more alive than the rest of them? Did he find God? Will he be sorry for everything he’s done? Will he continuing running from them? Does it mean anything?
It doesn’t matter. He’s eking out a life as Spike now. He only wants to know this: Will Angelus still love him? Will he still hold him? Kiss him? Tease him? Refuse to call him "Spike"? Or will they, like the rest of their family and their ways, be wrong, as well?
He wonders.
