(no subject)
For months and months and months now I've been working on a Wizard of Oz/Harry Potter parody fic. Basically, Harry is somehow (no spoilers for you!) knocked unconscious and wakes up in Oz, blah, blah, blah, Ozian-Potterific mayhem ensues.
I've been working on it for so long because I keep losing inspiration for it, despite the fact that I love it so far. However, the other day I bought all of the Oz Chronicles by L. Frank Baum (which was a ridiculously expensive set), and despite the fact that the book 'The Wonderful Wizard of Oz' is plenty different from the musical 'The Wizard of Oz' (which is the version I'm doing the parody with), they have been inspiring me to work on it like crazy.
Another source of inspiration came from blue_onion. She came up with a similar idea for a story, except her character roles were different. She didn't end up writing the story, but did some art, which I love. And like I said, it inspired me even more.

I have just finished writing chapter 8, and I was hoping to finish it before I started posting, that way I wouldn't have to make readers wait super long for updates. But I'm so happy with it so far (the humor muse has been generous lately), that I really want to begin posting.
I suppose I'll just continue working on the next chapter, and decide later whether or not I want to post it early or wait until it's finished. At the rate I've been working on it, it should be done in no time as long as the ideas and inspiration keeps streaming in.
