The Character Physically
1. What is the character's stature and build? Is he overweight? Thin? What is his height and weight?
He is 5' 11', short compared to his friends, even Eric. He's thin, but fit. He's around 147 pounds, with most of that being muscle. He exercises nearly every day, and the Freshman 15 has yet to catch him.
2. How old is he?
He's eighteen, just heading into college.
3. Describe his posture. Is it good? Does he carry himself well? Is he crooked? Straight?
Like most men his age, he tends to slouch a little forward but he walks straight most of the time. Especially around his mother and grandmother.
4. Is he in good shape or out of condition? Is he muscularly weak or strong?
He is in fairly good shape. He's strong, as he can pick up his girlfriend, Jessica, who weights about 135 pounds, easily.
5. How is his health? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
He doesn't get sick often, but when he does it's usually something that lasts for several days. He once thought he had HIV, but it was a mix-up in the test results that was sorted out after 24 hours.
6. Is he physically active or sedentary? A fast or slow mover?
He is very active, especially since an item on his 'Things To Do Before I Turn 30' is to do 10 marathons/triathlons. He's a fast mover later in the day, but earlier in the morning (from 5 A.M. to about 8 A.M.) he is a slow mover. By the time his classes have started, he's like a hyperactive kid in a toy store.
7. Is he clumsy, awkward, graceful?
He's more clumsy than anything. "A bull in a china-shop" is what his mother uses to describe him.
8. Does he move in straight or curved lines? Is he physically tight or fluid?
He moves in straight lines most of the time, unless he's hammered (every Friday night), then he's stumbling all over the place. He's very fluid in his actions. He isn't conscious at all when he moves, he just moves. It really comes out when he's playing with Jessica's nephews and his buddies.
9. What are his chief efforts?
To prove himself to his father, who poorly of him. His father is a retired Army General and wants his son to be just like him, even though Mike has expressed he doesn't want to be like his father.
10. Is the character good-looking, pretty, beautiful, average, plain, ugly, disfigured?
He is good-looking. Pale blond hair that's natural, pretty blue eyes, and slightly tanned skin from the California sun make his girlfriend call him 'pretty', even though he hates it. His friends think he is good-looking, too, as do their own girlfriends.
11. Is the character aware of himself physically? His looks?
He is aware, though he doesn't know why so many people think he's good-looking. He thinks that they're just exaggerating, since the only really good-looking person he has ever known is Jessica.
12. Describe his complexion and skin. Dark, light, clear, marked?
He has never had acne once in his life, which astounds his mother and Jessica. His skin was pale before he moved to California to go to college, and two months later it became a little darker. He has a scar on his cheek from where he had gotten in a fight with a man at a bar who was trying to kiss Jessica, but other than that his face is clear of any marks. He gets bruises easily, and since he rough-houses a lot he usually has bruises on his arms, chest, and legs.
13. Describe his hair, coloring, styling. Is it taken care of?
Very pale blond, and has been natural all his life. His hair goes down to his ears and is usually disheveled and looking like he just got out of bed, but for formal occasions it is styled by Jessica's hair stylist and best friend, Marc.
14. How is his usual dexterity? Does he have good hands: Can he do things? Is he a worker?
He has amazing dexterity. Since Jessica's oldest sister is deaf, Mike took Signing classes with Jessica so they could communicate with her and around her so she doesn't feel left out when Mike starts talking a mile a minute. He occasionally helps his friends move but other than that he does no manual labor.
15. Is he physically tense or relaxed, nervous, controlled?
Physically he is relaxed with a tiny hint of nervousness to it.

An insane amount of buoyancy. He seems to bounce when he steps, and when he runs it's like he's gliding.
