Hiiiiiiii guys!!!
Um. So it's been a while. Since I posted, at least. I've been keeping up with all of your ljs, just not my own. heh. So.....
I've been (mostly) enjoying the long break. My sister and brother-in-law came, when on a cruise, came back, and stayed til Christmas. We've baked cookies (pictures coming) and I had my little christmas shindig, which went over well. Everyone liked the gifts I made for them (the friends mix; every person has 3 songs that remind me of them or that they love.) I'll post pics of those too, when I get the chance.
Christmas was okay. It's lost it's magic for me, I'm afraid. Now it's all stress and flying around to get presents and no cold weather and rain and a complete lack of anticipation whatsoever. *shrug* I guess I've grown too cynical to feel any "magical christmas spirit". Still, I made out pretty well.
I don't know if I've mentioned this previously, but my dad's business isn't doing too well right now. After he got fired by his semi-boss and went to work for himself fulltime, things just aren't going as smoothly. We're currently living off our savings. So, obviously, I wasn't expecting a big christmas this year. In fact, my mom told us that it wouldn't be. So, you can imagine my surprise when I open a brand-new 80GB video iPod. Whoaaaa. That was fairly startling. But, well, my dad is crazy-generous, a lot of the time, and guess the iPod is a product of that. :) I've named him Riley, and have figured out all kinds of cool, possibly illegal ways to convert my downloaded asian dramas and even Pride and Prejudice (which I bought on DVD) to iPod-playable. very exciting.
Ah, I almost forgot to mention the little visitor we had. My Aunt Randy (haha) cannot resist making himself a minature humane society. he takes in a dog every now and then and eventually finds it a good home. Well, he happened to come into possession of a tiny black minature chiwawa puppy, and thought maybe my mom or my sister might want it. So he drops her off at our house, and she is probably the cutest thing I have ever seen. She's very sweet, and quiet, and unafraid, and playful. The perfect dog. I really wish we could have kept her, but my mom didn't want to have to take care of another dog. My sister already has two chiwawas, and one is very needy, so she couldn't take her either. So we gave her our nextdoor neighboors for christmas. :/ I was sad to see her go. lots and lots of pictures when I post the others. And more about her.
