Another HS meme from
vaxhacker Fill this out about your SENIOR year of high school! The longer ago it was, the more "fun" the answers will be.
1. Who was your best friend?
James Hill was one of my best friends in HS. He is still a good friend and I get to see him and his family often as we go to the same ward.
2. What sports did you play?
I played football my freshman and sophomore years, but I didn't play sports my senior year.
3. What kind of car did you drive?
I had a 1976
Datsun B210 hatchback.
4. It's Friday night, where were you?
More than likely at my GF's watching a movie on her couch.
5. Were you a party animal?
Nope. Didn't do the party scene.
6. Were you considered a flirt?
No. I pretty much dated my GF and didn't flirt with anyone else.
7. Ever skip school?
Every chance I could get. I didn't spend much time in school my last 2 years. I figured out what I needed to do to get my graduation requirements and not a second more. Which meant that I took only a half day of classes the last two years and I worked FT to pay for my car and my dates with my GF.
8. Were you a nerd?
I would't have called myself that then, but yeah I was.
9. Did you get suspended/expelled?
Nope, never got in trouble.
10. Can you sing the fight song?
I didn't pay attention enough to know what our fight song was, I am sure we had one, and I am sure that my wife knows mine as well as hers.
11. Who was your favorite teacher?
I didn't really pay attention enough to like any one particular teacher. I had a few that I didn't like.
12. Favorite class?
My Economics class was fun, mostly because I was taking a NON-college prep class when that is what I was used to. I didn't realize that the non-college track classes were so much less demanding that what I was used to.
13. What was your school's full name?
Here is a little secret, I went to two HS's. I went to Benson Polytech HS my first 2.5 years and US Grant HS my last 1.5 years.
14. What was the mascot?
Benson was the Techmen, whatever that meant. Grant was the Generals.
15. Did you go to Prom?
I didn't go to my prom, I wasn't interested enough. I went to my GF's prom though.
16. If you could go back and do it over, would you?
I don't think so. I tried to get out of HS when I was doing it the first time. I felt it was a great waste of time and effort, I can't see going back to do it over again.
17. What do you remember most about graduation?
Not a lot. I know it meant more to my parents than it did for me. I wasn't that impressed with the process and I didn't know that many of my classmates.
18. Favorite memory of your Senior Year?
Not sure.
19. Where were you on senior skip day?
I would guess that I was working. I didn't do the usually senior trip things. Again I didn't bother to get to know many of my classmates, so hanging out with them on a day off from school was not on my list of things to do.
20. Did you have a job your senior year?
I had a job my sophomore year on. I worked at CY's House of Samples my senior year. I worked at Wendy's before that.
21. Where did you go most often for lunch?
I usually went to work during lunch. I would go to my morning classes then I would leave and go to work the afternoons.
22. Have you gained weight since then?
sure.
23. What did you do after graduation?
After graduation proper? Dont' recall. If you mean what did I do after I was done with HS, then I would say I went to work until I joined the Air National Guard a year out of school.
24. When did you graduate?
1986
25. Who was your Senior homecoming date?
I didn't go to my homecoming, but I went to my GF's and she was my date.
26. Are you going to your ten year reunion?
Nope. I didn't want to spend time with them then, I sure don't have any desire to spend any time with them now.
27. Who was your home room teacher?
I don't recall.
28. What music did you listen to?
My radio was usually dialed into the classic rock station, so anything there.
29. Who will repost this?
I doubt anyone will read this let alone repost it.
