I am deciding to remain homeless rather than beginning the tedious process once again of assembling the semblance of an economically normal life. At 48 years old I find that I have never been particularly happy with any life I have led, though I have managed to stave of depression fairly well. Unfortunately that involves cutting off rather more of my self than I am willing to readily do at this point.
It still hurts to type, but I endure it for the sake of this entry. I have small cuts on two of my typing fingers and an abrasion on a third. So far I do not think they are getting infected, but they are not healing rapidly either.
I may be heading to Eureka for a little while, perhaps as soon as this evening. There are more opportunities for networking there as well as more places to get WiFi and in general there is more going on than here in the forested early mountains. I love it here and will return, but it's time for a bit of a change. Eureka also has more food distribution so that will allow me to get more out of my EBT benefits. Amazingly enough, even with the food distribution in place in Eureka, it is possible to find hungry people everywhere, a problem which can be readily addressed on a small, immediate scale with peanut butter sandwiches.
Peanut butter I have plenty of, and for today, vodka. The vodka won't hold up as well as the peanut butter, however.
