Community Promotion: art_stills
Another person on LJ,
elvenjaneite, and I will be moderating a community called
art_stills. This stillness icontest, which was founded by
piccadilly_pics and was moderated by her and
aaania80, involves creating icons based off of the artwork of artists such as Monet, Rodin, Mary Cassatt, and Hiroshige.
This is the first time either of us has ever run a community like this before (in my case, this is my first time ever running an online community). However, this was one of the first LJ communities that I had ever joined, and I wanted to keep it going (just not by myself).
I already set up my "first" challenge, with entries due in a couple of weeks, so if you or anyone else would be interested, then come on over, join (if you're not already a member), and participate (whether it's making icons, voting, or both):
