Something Special
I was feeling really down yesterday. It was a cold night and I was at the train station waiting for a bus. I had to use the restroom, so I walked a few blocks to a former workplace of mine. It was the only place where I knew the restrooms were open most of the night. I walked into the building and the memories came flooding back to me. This was a place where I was happy. I loved my job. I loved my co-workers. The building was like a home to me, and I had a great time.
Have you ever met a person who is just different than the others?
I have. In fact, I have met several people who are special. There's something just indescribable of these types of people. They are totally untroubled people. Just being around them, you cannot help but feel at ease. A person so genuine and nice that nothing can possibly ruin their mood. Everything bad just bounces off of them. There is not a bitter bone in their body. The moment you meet this person, you know that they are one of a kind.
You could call them magnetic personalities. These are the kind of people that you just love to be around. They are totally transparent and open. Just being in their presence can make your day. They have no hidden agendas. There is just an air of friendliness about them. Everything that they say is just so uplifting and kind. They put the well being of others before themselves.
These are the types of people that we all aspire to be.
We all feel down from time to time, but I just by looking back at all the great memories I know that there are good people out there. I hope one day to find a job just as good or better than that one. Who knows? There are probably many more special people out there that I haven't even met yet.
