[Background] Here

[Personality]

This boy has a brave and very heroic personality. Sora is loyal to his friends, believes in them with all his heart and will go to the ends of the earth for them. There isn't a single moment of hesitation to what Sora will sacrifice to keep them safe, even if it means losing his own heart and he always has the utmost faith that everything will turn out just fine. It’s not just his friends that he wants to protect but all those around him even if he’s never met them before. While traveling with his friends it isn't uncommon to see Sora stop to help someone else out when he can. Even though Sora has his own goal that can easily overshadow the other things in his life there's no way Sora could ever leave his friends to fight alone, and it often gains the loyalty of those who know him.

He has an amazing capacity to forgive people if he believes that they truly regret what they did and usually when he forgives someone that tends to be the end of it for him. Sora can also hold a grudge against those who are merely faking regret and if they continue with their plan he will stand against them until the bitter end. While he knows that defeating the Nobodies was the only way to stop them he does feel a little bad that it had to come to such a thing in the first place. Taking a life is a heavy burden (Nobodies or not) and rather then trying to pass the whole thing off as something he had to do he takes the responsibility of ending a life which can sometimes make him feel a little guilty.

Sora is highly competitive and it often shows when there’s a chance to show off his skills - even if he fails time and time again against Riku and their numerous activities. It's not just Riku and his friends that Sora's always trying to get the better of but he tries to beat his own scores in various stuff and practices on his own if it's possible. He never gives up even though he fails showing stubbornness and determination in everything he does as he picks himself up and tries again until he gets it just right. When something seems impossible or out-of-reach Sora will face it head-on until he can do it the way he's supposed to.

A lot of the times Sora is very gullible and oblivious to the things around him, yet he is far from stupid. After he woke up the Nobodies would constantly call him Roxas and it annoyed him but despite all the hints he was presented Sora never figured it out on his own and had to have Riku point it out. Even so he's capable of learning new things so long as he has a patient teacher (or one willing to teach him in the first place) and he can even pick up various things on his own. Mainly he excels in the physical side of things like learning how to pilot a gummi ship, working on one, fighting outside of the box (like using chandeliers) and is even good with directions and reading maps. While he doesn't like things like school and learning from a book if another way is presented to him that's fun and interesting Sora can definitely pick it up. Sora lets his heart lead him most of the time and this can often help him figure out who left him stuff as hints to help keep him going to do what he needs to. On rare occasions this can connect him emotionally to someone enough to almost sense what they're feeling. If he gets really close to someone Sora can pick up on various signs and behaviors to figure out that there's something they don't want to talk about.

He is very friendly and out-going and often times he doesn’t let the bad things drag him down as he prefers to be optimist rather than pessimistic. Most people can find him with a smile on his face and it's very easy to get him to laugh or to get him to join in some joyous occasion. Sora can sometimes be described as a big dorky kid who enjoys just hanging out with his friends, doing some random childish activity like drawing (even though he sucks at it) or even slacking off by sleeping. He also tends to act like a little kid and becomes excited over simple things such as holidays or meeting Santa or the possibility of being king. This kid has ambitious dreams and it can spread to those around him into believing they can make them possible.

Yet he can be serious if the situation calls for it, easily adapting to whatever the moment needs him to be. While he doesn't have strong leadership skills it's not hard to see Sora in that position and it often draws loyal people who want to follow after him and stand beside him in battle. As time goes by that leadership skill has grown stronger from when he first left Destiny Islands but there are times when he fails and may not realize it. There may be times when he becomes discouraged and even disheartened but when he realizes that people need someone to be there for them, Sora can easily pull himself together as they are his strength.

Time, experiences and the people in Sora's life have widened his outlook no longer seeing things in black or white, good or evil, wrong or right and taught him to look beyond those simple things. He was so willing to accept whatever was put in front of him but since the start of the journey has begun to look deeper into people and situations so he can make better judgments for himself. At first he was even a reluctant hero wanting to find his friends more than to save the worlds. From there he started believing the whole romanticized idea of a hero that you hear about in tales and stories. While that has gotten him pretty far he's realized that it takes a lot more than just accepting his role, saving his friends and the worlds, defeating the bad guy and getting home. He knows that the fight between light and darkness will always continue on and has taken his role seriously in order to protect not just those close to him but look out for the safety of everyone he possibly can. Still a hero can dream of a better world for everyone, right?

At this point Sora knows that several people have sacrificed their own lives in order to protect not only him but the worlds and given up so much to make sure that he can continue on. When he was first faced with his Nobody Sora fought him without a second thought nor did he hold back just because he was under the impression that Roxas was just another member of the Organization to get passed. Once he learned the truth Sora instantly wanted to meet his Nobody (for various reason in my opinion) but when he did Sora was rather surprised and mostly unable to say what he wanted to. For all of those people who sacrificed some piece of themselves for him Sora is eternally grateful and will spend every moment he has wanting to express his appreciation. He even showed a hint of kindness and forgiveness for Maleficent when she helped him and his friends.

It’s rare but Sora has been known to get angry usually on behalf of some injustice done and it makes him act more irrational than normal. That can lead him into rushing into dangerous situations alone or even confronting an enemy that's way outside his league although Sora doesn't have suicidal tendencies he will sacrifice himself for his friends safety. Usually these outbursts are because someone has hurt his friends as most of the stuff done to him gets waved off as no big deal because as long as he has his friends in his heart then anything physical is just not as important. One of Sora's main weaknesses and strengths are his friends, they can drive him on towards his goal with a fierce intensity like no other but there isn't anything Sora wouldn't do for them - include getting down on his knees in front of an enemy.

Just because Sora's got a handy side to helping with mechanical stuff he is actually horrible with computers and anything regarding programming unless someone is there to explain stuff to him. He can easily pilot a gummi ship, help Cid put one together, use the communicator device and even physically fight a program Sora absolutely fails with typing as he utilizes the hunt-and-peck method on a keyboard and when he gets frustrated with it Sora's not above banging on it.

Nearly everyone is treated the same when Sora first comes across them and he treats them more like a friend even if they have a higher authority, but he does know when he should be a little respectful in certain situations. To go along with it Sora's very casual when it comes to things like titles or status, and while he may call them by their proper titles he treats them more like they're all old friends. Sora respects them all for all of their strengths and skills and will even admit that he would have never gotten where he is without them but that doesn't mean he won't sometimes go against them if he feels that's the right thing to do. He sometimes has an issue with personal space and often invades it for one reason or another. Other times people are the first to make physical contact with him and ruffle his hair which Sora gets indignant over but also enjoys it. There a few he's not instantly friendly with and those are the ones who are known enemies.

Over the years Sora's grown accustomed to always having someone around - whether it's Riku and Kairi, or people he's met along his travels - he's hardly ever alone so he often turns to them for advice, friendly chats or when rushing into danger expects to have someone back him up. He's the curious type always trying to learn new things about the country he's visiting and he can often have a blatant disregard for social status and maybe even a couple of laws depending on what they are - people's lives are much more important to him than some rules. All of Sora's emotions are worn on his face, what you see is what you get - from the happiest of smiles, to the angry glares down to the tears of sadness and of joy.

[Specialties/Abilities]

Physical

Sora has the ability to call and wield a weapon known as the Keyblade. While it can act like a sword and be used against Heartless and Nobodies alike - the main purpose of the Keyblade is to seal or open the barriers between worlds. It can also lock worlds Keyholes to prevent Heartless from finding the heart of that world and overrunning it with darkness. The weapon can also lock and unlock any lock, whether it be from a small treasure chest to locked rooms. With the changing of the keychain attached to the end the Keyblade’s change appearance and can enhance other features of the wielder. The weapon has one distinct feature that makes it very picky about who holds it and the wielder must have a strong heart or in a few rare instances someone close to one with a strong heart can wield one.

Because Sora has not one but two hearts he has the ability to wield two Keyblades at once, a trait passed to his Nobody who was the first to succeed in the task. And if he completes the "Duel Stance" command while fighting his Nobody Sora can wield three Keyblades, making him the only character to do so.

Limiting

Sora will only be able to call one Keyblade at a time and while he can use a few abilities from his drive forms he can't actually transform into the various forms without the help of his friends. To be honest I've never actually used a lot of these abilities when RPing Sora since most of them are weird when writing out fight scenes.

Magic

Along with the Keyblade Sora has been given the ability to use magic and they can be strengthened the more he uses them. Currently Sora knows six different spells and all of them have three variations from a simple casting spell to the high level ones.

Limiting

Because I know video game magic can be god-modding at time I will cut every spell in half. I have no problem cutting healing magic even more to 20% (always mun's choice) and limiting Sora to being able to heal that person once a day but he can heal multiple people in the same day.

Drives

Drive forms are essentially calling on the strength of his friends and each of his Forms have unique abilities unto themselves. However these are unavailable to him without the help of Donald and Goofy, even without them around the Drive Forms increase Sora's speed and strength a bit and give him one ability from each of them. This is merely here in case one of his friends ever show up.

Limiting

IF by some stroke of luck Donald or Goofy or both show up I think the only forms that need limiting are Final and Limit. Final's attack power will be cut in half and Limit into a fourth of what he can do.

Summons

Summons allows Sora to call on friends from other worlds by using helpful charms and these give him limited access to their abilities. He only has four: Chicken Little, Genie, Stitch and Peter Pan with Tinkerbell.

Limiting

Because all four of them would require a character to be summoned in from another world Sora can't use these charms at all. It follows Somarium's summoning information.

[Affection] Sora's a generally friendly guy so as long as the contact is friendly he's fine. Anything more might end in flailing and him pulling him away. Lots of people find his hair ruffable.

[Fighting]
Death: Never without prior discussion, death is good but I'd like to keep it to a minimum. If your character is obviously stronger I am all for seriously injuring him.

Violence: Again never without prior discussion. Because of Sora's nature he often leaps into fights when his friends are being hurt and this often leads to him being hurt. This too goes hand-in-hand with the death permission, injuring is all well and good - death a little less so although I am open to ideas.

[Other Permissions] Sora's mind is an open book but generally he says what's on his mind. The only fourth wall I don't want broken is saying that Sora's a fictional character in a video game. Cross-canon cast mates are more than welcome.

In Person/Action Threads: Sora's door is always open and he enjoys having his friends around so if you want to toss your characters at him go right ahead. However, threadjacking an In Person/Action thread please try to ask so as not to collide with Sora's CR with another character. An exception is if your character was with Sora at the time of the post - aka joint posts.

Hacking Threads/Posts: Sora's abilities to lock posts is absolutely atrocious, the best he'll ever manage is a 20-30% Unhackablity. Unless a thread is labeled "Do Not Hack" all are open to anyone who can hack better than he can. Usually these threads are important plot moving ones so you probably won't see many of these.

The following applies to canonmates:

We all know that there's a bit of unspoken history between Riku, Sora and Kairi, if you have any headcanon of things they've done/said you are more than welcome to throw it at me even ICly. I'm pretty flexible about stuff like this and love to go with it. Also because the KH games are pretty vague with time passage except in Days my general conclusion is that Sora spent one year running around between the three games and nearly one asleep. This means there's a lot of time that Sora could have spent on any given world/gummi ship so other castmates are welcome to say that he spent more than one day running around/sleeping/eating/stuff of that general nature.

[Other Facts] Sora's a big derp, he will most likely do weird things and pull people together for fun things.
