Too close to home.
Tornadoes barely missed us here...but hit where I grew up, really bad. Keep those people in your prayers and thoughts.
Hwy 43 is where I always use when I go to visit my family, and I have friends along that stretch of highway. The worst hit was Iris Road & Hwy 43...and there's a family that's close friends that live close there. They're okay so far as I know, but they have no electricity. One bridal store was leveled (not the one I used for my wedding, but the one just down the highway). My mom planned on coming down yesterday, but luckily she decided at the last minute not to come...because the storms got worse faster than anyone ever thought. She could've gotten stuck on that highway, or stuck here (but it would be nice if she was stuck here, though. :))
Shilo had left his truck at that friend's house close to Iris Road, but his truck is okay...a tree missed it. He stayed overnight there, since he couldn't get out. The hwy was blocked. He's now on his way home...finally. Shilo's aunt and uncle were stuck at Purdy at a cousin's graduation.
Here's the link to all that info.
http://fourstateshomepage.com/ Just all the damage is...wow. My mom said that Chigger Ridge (my family farm) is full of debris from other people's homes. Siding, insulation, etc. My dad found an old tv tray by the lagoon. heh. I'm sure he'll find an use for it somewhere.
I better get going to church then. :)
BTW...3 weeks left til the baby's due! :-D
