Go, you! Letters in writing almost always get attention. Once they realize that a paper trail that makes them financially culpable for ignoring communication has begun, they suddenly care.
Ah. I called the Dental School this morning first thing to explain the problem and was told THEY billed my current account. What you say may have something to do with why I was encouraged to CALL Delta rather than write back, but I think I'd better write.
I think you are correct. If you do decide to call, be prepared to write a follow up letter. I'm sure you already know this, but for anyone else reading, it's good to know that a person can also send a letter after a phone call to solidify what is already understood.
Dear company X,
On Decebruly 12, at about 1PM, I spoke to one of your representatives via your local number about my recent order, #111. That person assured me that my six free ponies are currently in transit, and should arrive by the end of this month. Please feel free to contact me in writing at this address if there's any other information or clarification that you'd like to add.
Thanks! That looks like a handy guide. I think I'll just write to start. I can send along a copy of the most recent letter I received, which will be easier than trying to explain it over the phone - probably to multiple layers of people.
Congratulations on figuring that out! Any luck with the question of why your health insurance declines to pay for polyp removal? I'm still having a hard time believing that is the actual policy rather than a billing mistake.
