FLASHBACK: The First Move

May 03, 2014 19:09

The tip had come in not long ago and Skylar wasn't about to let the opportunity pass her by, even if it took a good pep talk in the mirror and a few shots with Reid before he sent her on her way.

The bar wasn't too far off from the flat actually and she opted to walk rather than Apparate, not wanting to mess up her perfectly styled and curled long brown hair or wrinkle her simple, but sleek, little black dress that hugged her curves in all the right places. Besides, the fresh air did wonders to calm her twisting nerves, giving her that extra bit of confidence that the shots of vodka just couldn't.

When she finally found the pub, which was much more of a dive than she had expected it to be, she did a slow scope of the crowd, mostly sticking to the edges rather than diving right into the crowd, as she always did. After all, she had to be strategic about this, not just completely jump in and blow her shot. She'd already waited far too long for this moment.

Skylar made her way to the bar, only two seats down from Harry Potter, and leaned across to get the bartender's attention.

"Vodka soda, twist of lime-" she ordered, offering a smile before catching her bright red stained lower lip between her teeth, turning just enough to catch Harry's gaze.
