So this is...a thing. About Nicholas Rush from Stargate Universe. Specifically, about the tragedy and frustration in his life (his wife's death, his failure at unlocking the ninth chevron, his anger at himself for throwing away things that matter in the quest for a seemingly lost cause) that leads to his desperate, last-ditch attempt to prove that it was all worth something...which strands him and a few dozen other people on a derelict Ancient spaceship on the other side of the universe.
