I read this yesterday and then left the tab open because I really wanted to think about to tell you about this chapter.
There is so much I love about this chapter, most especially the characters- how their personalities are conveyed and the depth of history that is there in the little details.
Naruto in this story is pitch perfect- I actually feel as if I really GET Naruto's character for the first time- what it must be like interacting with him and Sakura's reactions to him make me go- I KNOW this guy. We all know guys like this and it made the chapter for me.
Also, as usual, I loved the Sakura/Ino dynamic and their history. Ino's crush on Shikamaru...Okay, okay. So I know that the story is about Kakashi and Sakura but you make me want a storyline involving these two soooo bad! I love too that you added it because, well, everyone's got their problems/hang ups/personal dramas. Though Sakura's going through a hard time, it grounds the story into the world of Naruto more to mention other people and their issues. ....Plus, I want more of Ino on Team Ten! <3!
Though I loved the characterzations here, I will say, you're also developing the plotline of the mysterious illness very well! I'm not worried for Ino and anxious to know why Sakura doesn't know anything about it and excited by the voices at the start of this all. Good work!
