Well, That's Somewhat Ironic
Almost five years to the day I started this LJ, I read that it might be going POOF.
Anyway, for those people3 who are wondering how to backup LJ, the comments to the article mentioned "LJArchive"

I just tried it and it works pretty slick. Took less than a minute to install, and less than 30 seconds to download 391 LJ entries and 1004 comments.
Don't know what format it stores itself in to see if there's a way to port it to another blog system, but at least that stuff is on my hard drive.
Maybe I won't continue my 30 Years in 30 Days Series With Added Bonus Content.....
